튠업 20기 / 장르: 신스팝/록
트리스는 80년대 신스팝 사운드에 공상과학영화의 상상력을 더한 음악을 하는 4인조 신스팝/록 밴드이다.
리더 양현덕이 어려서부터 좋아하던 80, 90년대 공상과학영화에서 영감을 얻어 사운드의 중심을 잡고, 베이스 김민규, 드럼 신영권, 신디사이저 Daisy Jung이 복고적 감성과 록 사운드를 더해 개성 넘치는 음악을 만들고 있다.
학창시절을 중남미에서 보낸 리더의 영향으로 이국적인 분위기와 K-POP의 감성이 어우러진 유니크한 신스팝/록 사운드에, 실력파 멤버들의 연주력, 멤버 Daisy Jung 이 직접 만든 무대 영상이 더해져, 예술적이면서도 한번 들으면 따라 부를 수 있는 유니크한 무대 경험을 선사하는 밴드이다.
트리스의 음악은 모든 가사가 영어로 되어있어, 한 발 빠르게 글로벌 뮤지션으로 성장 하고 있다.
트리스는 홍대 라이브 클럽을 중심으로 활발한 공연 활동을 하고 있으며, 공연 소식과 영상을 SNS 를 통해 전달하는 등 꾸준히 해외 음악 매니아들과 소통하여 2만명에 가까운 글로벌 팬이 생겼다.
KT&G 밴드 디스커버리 우승, 부산 국제록페스티벌 부락배틀 금상, 인디스땅스 TOP6, 펜타포트 루키 TOP 6 등 국내 대표적인 밴드 경연에서 큰 두각을 나타낸 트리스는 본격적인 해외 진출을 통해 2018년 11월 캐나다 연방정부와 온타리오 주 정부가 공식 후원하는 음악페스티벌 경연 INDIE WEEK CANADA 에 출전해 16개국 250여팀 중 우승상인 BEST OF FEST 상을 수상했다.
이에 2019년 8월 브라질의 수도 브라질리아에서 열리는 대형 음악 페스티벌 CoMA 페스티벌에 공식 초청되는 쾌거를 이루었다.
한편, 2019년 9월 태국 투어를 시작으로 전 세계 투어를 예정하고 있다.

공상과학을 나타내는 영어 단어인 Science Fiction 에서 Fiction 을 환상(Fantasy)로 바꿔본 아이디어로 시작 되었습니다.
기술이 발전하며 점점 더 많은 것들이 과학(Science)의 통계와 계산에 의해 정해지는 현실 비판하며,
상식과 편견에 연연해하지 말고 용감하게 자기 믿음대로 나아가자 라는 메세지를 담은 곡입니다.

'Chasing Star'는 공상 과학 음악을 표방하고, 우주를 탐험하는 밴드의 컨셉에 가장 잘 부합하는 곡이다. 인트로부터 화려하게 시작을 알리는 아르페지에이터(Arpeggiator)의 정신없는 화음 패턴이 도저히 몸을 가만히 둘 수 없도록 만든다. 초광속 엔진을 장착한 것처럼 빠른 속도감이 돋보이는 트리스의 트레이드 마크가 온전히 드러난다. 총공세를 퍼붓는 사운드의 반복과 중첩을 통해 묘한 쾌감과 해방감을 동시에 선사한다. ?
